Once again, I picked a book solely based on the cover alone. Did I see that Basic Witch is dark academia/reverse harem? Nope, not at all. Did that stop me from diving in head first? Also no.
This is definitely the beginning of a series, and I would expect more steamy scenes to come in later installments. There was definitely tension between Mallory and all of the male characters, but only steamy scenes with one.
That said, there is actually a decent plot to this book, and I hope that also continues with the series.
This does end in a cliffhanger – and we all know how I feel about cliffhangers!
